#felinefriday Kitties don't eat quesadillas by Logan and Patty

Hat tip: Love that Max: the interview with Logan

I wondered about the cats in my life who may have all sorts of sensory needs and desires.

Kitties don't eat quesadillas is a fun book based on the alphabet and the things that cats don't eat.

Apparently Logan and Patty had two very picky cats who were very selective in what they would and wouldn't eat.

Kitties don't eat quesadillas is raising money for two cat rescue charities, which I think the people of #felinefriday and their felines would go all the way to support.

If you love music Rock N Rescue could very well appeal to you.

And Beth O. Stern is another cat rescuer.

I agree, I've never had a hankering for quesadillas either!

I had to google quesadillas and I can't imagine any cat would like them. I think they sound very tasty though.

Thanks Brian. I do like lots of other Tex-Mex food like tacos and burritos.

And Timmy - he was almost hopeless over any kind of meat. He was the very definition of "obligate carnivore"; though he spent a lot of time outdoors hunting grass and insects.

Sandee - glad you love quesadillas.

The first one I ate was around 2009-10 when it was wrapped in a shopping centre delicatessen. It was fine and it had to be reheated. A lot of people and cats may or may not be into temperature changes like heat or cold. Thank you for the weekend wishes.

Eric and Flynn and their memoirist - Good on you for googling/searching! Might I suggest DuckDuckGo next time you want to find out about anything new without being tracked? Cats are good undercover spies, I think.

And there's the difference between something sounding tasty and being tasty once you put it on your tongue; into your mouth and down your throat/thyroid. And then it goes down into your stomach.

There's a reason disgust and the gustatory are so closely connected.

Too cute to use cats as sensory eaters. My son Tucker was so picky as an eater in younger days. He's a better eater now, but we still need prescription toothpaste (he vomits and gags and all the things) and is now 10 years old, so knows what he can't tolerate in his mouth for the most part (never tried pudding, yogurt, etc...the idea of them give him huge anxiety). I'll check out your guest post on LTM. Adore Ellen!

Good to see you here.

Yes. Vomiting and gagging.

Empathy for and with Tucker, of course.

Me, I can barely gargle my throat just because of such things.

Just this last week I filled my mouth with a square biscuit of dark chocolate and left my tongue and teeth with no way out.

Had to remove the stuff with my fingers.

Guest post? Do you know something I don't?

Thanks again. I'll try and do something with PIONEERS as the prompt.

Have read the five posts with the theme - including Rebecca and Mardra [how cool was it she was in that literary journal?] and you and the other person.

As usual - it's cute because it's true.

Maybe not guest post - but it's a feature about your book :)
