#FelineFriday - Timmy and friendly fill-ins from Lorianne and Ellen

A tabby cat with a red collar. Flowers are either side of the cat; shrubs are in the background.
The above illustration is that of Timmy [1989-2001] in the last year of his life amongst lavender and red salvias.

As you can probably tell he was a handsome tomcat who loved to explore his world and was protective of his mistress.

Here are the four friendly fill-ins from Lorianne and Ellen.

1. I have been contemplating blogging comments and the Tour de France and wonderful gardens and weekend activities.
2. I want to write a review about an evolutionary development book which came my way - Geeks and Genes by Dale Falk and Eve Penelope Schofield.
3. People should worry less about speech and more about communicating.

4. I want to make the world a better place by working in and with causes I care about.

Thank you Sandee: I've really enjoyed the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

And I appreciate your weekend wishes and wish you the same.

Eric and Flynn: You were handsome in your own lifetimes also. I'm sure Timmy would have loved you, even though he was very competitive when it came to his territory.

Someone significant in my life was a cat carer - they were allergic to dander and fur and dust [asthma].

Tigger, too, was a point of connection.

Another point about Timmy is that he would have the situation well into hand and he knew how to get some - yes, even though he was neutered, and even though humans may or may not have been his first priority.

Though some people might have said he had dragged on too long - the last six months of his life were spent coping with kidneys and their associated failures - he knew how and when to leave.

In his last days he loved the heat.

I hope you all have much more of a sense of how Timmy lived and what and who he loved - and I look forward to more of Feline Friday.

Kitties Blue: it was a confluence of influences.

In simple words: it was the right time and it did take me several hours to find the photo.

Good to know of the resemblance that your Mum saw between Skooter and Timmy.

Melissa and Mudpie [and angel Truffles]: thank you for the compliment.

Shoko: glad you noticed the plants. What plants do you and your cat like?

The cat looks so regal among the flowers.

Thank you for your comment...

Timmy didn't really think of himself as royalty.

And, yes, the high-born ears and face do suggest it to those who would know.

Did you just make a new website?
